What is actually in the game

Everything below is in the shipping Android app. There are no achievements, no lifetime statistics and no online play — the game does a small number of things and does them properly.

Three genuinely different AI levels

Easy plays at random, Medium blocks your threats and takes its own wins, and Hard searches the whole game tree. They are three separate algorithms, not one opponent with a label changed.

Two players on one device

Pass the phone back and forth. Turns alternate between X and O automatically, and the status line always shows whose move it is.

Round-by-round score tracking

A scoreboard above the grid counts X wins, O wins and draws as you play. Restart a round to keep the running score, or reset it to zero whenever you want a clean slate.

  • Play against the computer

    A built-in opponent plays every round with you — no second player and no internet connection needed. You are always X and move first.

  • Clear wins you can actually see

    The three winning squares light up and a line is drawn through them, so the result is never in doubt. A short dialog confirms the outcome and offers a rematch.

  • Sound and vibration you control

    A tap sound on every move and a chime on a win, plus haptic feedback in your hand. Both are separate switches in Settings, and the app remembers how you left them.

  • Dark and light themes

    Pick whichever is easier on your eyes. The app opens in dark by default and keeps your choice between sessions.

  • Works completely offline

    Every match runs on your device. The app makes no network requests at all, so it works on a plane, on the underground, or with mobile data switched off.

  • No ads, no purchases, no account

    No banners, no interstitials, no in-app purchases, no sign-up. Nothing interrupts a round and nothing is gated.

  • Built for phones and tablets

    The layout adapts to the screen. On tablets the two game modes sit side by side and the board scales up to fill the extra space.

Settings. Sound and haptics are independent switches. Turn off one, both, or neither — the app remembers your choice next time it opens.

What Tic Tac Toe does not do

Plenty of tic tac toe apps advertise features they barely have. Here is the opposite — a straight list of things this app has no support for, so you know before you install.

The scoreboard counts wins and draws for the session you are playing and resets when you leave the match — it is a running tally, not saved statistics.
